Cheers,
I am switching to Mac and do not know the software environment of the OS. No, not the Os itself, but the third party programmes.
I will need:
- an FTP client, something as secure as WinSCP for Windows;
- a coding tool, something like Dreamweaver;
- a tool "to talk" to Windows-based file server...and anything, which you think could help webdev on Mac.
Maybe there are some good apps already built in the OS?...

After years of using Dreamweaver I recently switched to Aptana Studio on PC. Besides excellent ftp and sftp support they provide plugins for most javascript libraries, php, etc. There's also a mac version available and it's opensource.
http://www.aptana.com/I also installed Coda on my Mac but haven't used it so I'm not able to tell if it's any good. Aptana is tho.

Also, no need for an extra FTP client if you use Coda. The built in one is more than good enough.
