For the Spanish speakers here is a radio interview with Joaquín López Dóriga, Governor of the state of Tamaulipas (the site of the gun battle video)
- ?? Jaquin Lopez Doriga is not a governor. He is a popular news anchor.VectorMasked
- Sorry, other way around, he interviewed the Governor.HijoDMaite

It's not going to end because both sides have their hands in the cookie jar. The U.S is just as guilty for what's going on over there.

Mexico's druglords are worst than the Colombian's.
You don't see shit like that in Colombia anymore.

this blog looks like an online version of the uncensored newspapers they sell down here in the intersections. nothing new really except that its online for the world to see.

This will never end, its Mexican supply for American demand.
Until the US gets their (I should say our) shit together, like prioritizing family over careers then maybe we wouldn't be raising a bunch of shit huffing junkies for kids.

Sorry to bring this highly interesting story down to design shit but I was impressed by the translate toolbar. Is that custom or a Wpress thing or something?
- HAYZ1LLA0
Okay found some nice code that does a similar thing but anyone know how to customise appearance?<script src="http://www.gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://www.google.com/ig/modules/translatemypage.xml&up_source_language=en&w=160&h=60&title=&border=&output=js"></script>

The 39-year-old, who blogged under the name "Laredo Girl," was found butchered by a roadside monument to Christopher Columbus with two computer keyboards.
A woman who blogged about the Zetas drug cartel was found tortured and decapitated Saturday night in Mexico - the latest atrocity against people who criticize the drug gangs online.

I'm wondering how long before Mexico becomes a failed state?
- It already is from the sounds of it. It's like the US invaded or something.i_monk

Everyone in this thread is going to wake up dismembered tomorrow.

Isn't that funny that on http://www.blogdelnarco.com/ they've translated the Twitter button? Wouldn't it be the same in any language?
- My client is a bilingual company in a bilingual country, & every trademarked name is translated.i_monk

Every time this thread pops up, I am really shocked at how little coverage this gets in the US.
- mg330
good point dmullins. it's sad, it's to the point that it seems like there's no escape for so many people down there. All the low level cartel people must wake up everyday knowing that they, and their families, could be dead by the end of the day for nothing.
It's almost like there's no section of the country that is safe. I think Mexico City gets less of this type of crime/war, but all the other places are fair game from what I can tell.
- It's like Israel vs. Palestine for the western world.dMullins
