Fantastic Idea,
Now we just need to find a way to make the production of oil from plastic more efficient,
I don't know much about the process of refinement,
but I'm sure it will need some kind of energy to make it transform plastic,
Anyways, If this machine uses less energy producing the oil than biodiesel, we've got a winner.- Frenglish 101georgesIII
- You might want to account for the energy used in creating the plastics first too...detritus
- Yep, but its already been discarded so I guess, It's a lose, lose situariongeorgesIII

It's never going to stop CO2 emissions but it will mean we could make use of all the millions of tons of plastic thrown away. Great idea.

extracting oil from plastic is like extracting water from the sea - requires a ton of energy and toxic waste.

This is a great thing. And it won't stop CO2 but it will reduce it since you won't have to transport the oil as far. If you refine it even further you can make diesel, kerosene or regular fuel. Hell, you can even make new plastic products again. And it's so damn small! I want one!
