Hi,
I've just started to study more intensively AS3. I have got two reference books to learn it. And it's ok. I assimilate all the concepts of packages, classes, function, events but I am stucked when I would like to create a concrete application subdivide in classes and .as files. For example :
Main.swf, main.as, preloder.as, xmlFeed.as, textStyle.as, slideShow.as, etc...Basically my problem is to connect several .as (re-usable) files together to make application works. If you know what I mean.
So for the moment I create one actionscript file containing all the portions of code... And that's bad... I feel really frustrated. So my question is where I can find tutorials with real a application like a mini-site, or a Slideshow etc Not to complex for the moment, but enough to understand the way to connect all the .as files together. I've tried to find with google, but it's often abstract examples.I hope you can help me or redirect me somewhere.
(sorry for my bad english, I am used to speak french ...)

- What I am looking for is not really separate examples but a sort of real-life mini website, with several classes & swf connected all togetherdasmeteor
- connected all together. My problem is to connect differents (separate) classes & swf to create a sitedasmeteor
- 2nd link explains thatuan
- @uan Actually the second link answered a lot of my questions. But not completely. I would to know how manage (load) differents sections of a website, dasmeteor
- differents sections of a website, sections created in differents .swf loaded only if they are neededdasmeteor
- thoses swf could independants applications (slideshows, rss reader, mades with classes & functions)dasmeteor
- In other words, I would like to organize and prioritize my files to do a sitedasmeteor

das, part of moving on to AS3 is leaving old habits behind, breaking your site up into swfs is a bad way to structure your site, for many reasons.
Google "document class".

Also, re-read the packages part, structurally, that's the key to breaking your code up.

Sometimes it helps to see how other frameworks are going about this. One of the main ones is Gaia: http://www.gaiaflashframework.co…
You'll eventually develop your own methods and workflows though. Nothing wrong with doing things inefficiently the first few projects. Just improve it each time and keep adding to your own library of utility classes.

@NONEIS You're right it's a question of old habits. Actually I am used to breaking my site up into swfs, to avoid one big loading.
I am not affraid to change my habits, but I am looking for the right solution.
