You illustrators, yes you.. the one's with patchy beards and glasses that don't quite fit.
Do you use facebook to promote your illustrations and stuff. Not your own page, but like a fanpage?
I did a quick one ... http://bit.ly/breadlegs

I've got one, but my beard isn't patchy and my glasses fit fine, thank you.
I rarely ever update mine. I should.

I set one up earlier this year, even sold some art to buyers off of it.
But I can't grow a beard either....:)

I made this last week, and I haven't already promoted, because I'm not into this narcissistic stuff... I have just a link on my website, waiting to spread around....

kodap - interesting that you see it as 'narcissistic stuff'. Why is that?
Surely it's just another platform for your talent?

I think it's still important to have fb. I have sold drawings and collages through fb because it's easier to reach some friends of friemds who actually stumbled in my pics...

... but I don't like when some folks beg with constant fan page requests, as if I have the obligation to like that...

I have photo albums of 'My Work'. It's gotten me a few freelance jobs, but no way will I set up a fan page unless I actually start my own company. I do have several photographer friends that have successfully gotten good business out of their pages though...
