What you will need is a scan converter.
The frame rate on your TV is very different to those outputted by your laptop.
A scan converter converts those images.
The image quality will be very very shit, and screen alignment out of whack.
Unless you have a dedicated s-video card slot, or a HDMI out from your laptop you will have to pay top dolla for a decent scan coverter
or get a cheap one and suffer poor image
- Wha wha wha what?!?!?!Jimbo82
- well, a mini-DVI to HDMI is fine, or just a regular video out adaptermonospaced
- frame rate is insignificantmonospaced
- well, it all depends on the "out" connections on ur laptop computer. i assume there were no "simple" solutionsKhurram
- there are several simple solutions, and several adapters for miniDVI to just about any video typemonospaced

DVI to Composite - then Composite to Scart. Not sure on your Audio as the specs don't really mention Audio In. You usually use a Minijack to RF/Phono in.

Aww man! QBN is awesome!
FANKS GUYS!
Right, I'm going to go to maplins, I'm gonna look at what I need online and see if they have all the right bits and bobs...

I should have done, the first guy was a proper hipster, skinny bright blue jeans, boots and tattoos all up his neck. The second guy was about 12 years old, 4'8", with Justin Beber hair and spots. The third was a massive fat chap with a lovely pair of moobs, wearing a very tight t-shirt, I think he just gave up and said it couldn't be done.
Proper waste of time.

http://store.apple.com/uk/produc…And this
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.a…Man, I'm so clueless it's painful.
- Your MacBook most likely has a MiniDVI port, so one end HAS to have that. The other should match the inputs on your TVmonospaced

Ok, so,
I get a mini-DVI port (is that the same as a Micro-DVI port?)
That connects to my macbook proI get a SCART to SVideo ( http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.a… )
That connects between my tv and the mini-DVIThat should be it. Right?
F*ck me I'm a moron. Thanks for your patience, those who respond to this. It's for my dad, it's his birthday tomorrow so I'm seeing a fun day hunting this shit down tomorrow.
