My first reaction is that background picture is pretty dominant. Its taking away from all the information within the site.

desmo is right about the picture being dominant, and for me there's also a "mismatch" of colors between them.

Totally agree that the shot steals focus.
Yep, that's the sun behind the horse. Worked better in different color / gradient. This one's just holding place for now.
