the footage is quality, i like the editing. but it's hard to take this guy seriously. is the intense thing necessary? and the drum sequencing and samples aren't the strongest choices imo. it's sort of like snap x olive x tag team. i suppose growing up with 80s/90s hiphop makes it kinda tough to stomach the new school drakes. i mean a track like mass appeal has mummy dust on it and it still slays to this day; it's effortless. just my opinion!
- < this being said, i'm sure he has an audience. i can see he's well-liked up on youtube.prophet

I think this is the biggest production he has done. He's a friend of a friend, name is David Martin.
---- Aaaawwwh, Gang Starr always brings me back to my days in Honolulu. Of course in an another class by itself cause like Guru said:
"It's mostly tha voice, that gets you up
It's mostly tha voice, that makes you buck
A lot of rappers got flavor, and some got skills
But if your voice ain't dope then you need to [chill... chill... ]"R.I.P. ======> Guru.

for me personally, the greatest hiphop track of all time is t.r.o.y. - another one from which to take notes for production heads. pete rock was just a kid basically when he produced this masterpiece.

- Dunno if it's my favourite but it's right up there. There's some other Sean Price, Pete Rock, De La, GangStarr that would compare.BuddhaHat

^ and when you listen to this and then you listen to lot of what's being produced nowadays, you're kind of left disappointed. like "wtf is this? omg roflsnacks." thank god for stones throw and def jux and all the indie-level innovators out there. there's definitely some amazing stuff being created. there's still a pulse.
ok i'll shut up now.
