One of my clients has an original 12 min unreleased film of an interview with the Beatles when they were buying guitars in Spain early in their career.
What is something like this worth?

find out what sort of people would be interested (rock memorabilia collectors, history channel, news, etc) and ask them
- scarabin0
it'd be worthwhile to do a teaser write-up on it to send to people
- scarabin0
even movie studios could be potential buyers. unreleased material like that could sell a documentary
- scarabin0
too bad it's not a sex tape, these guys must be making some money http://www.hendrixsextape.com/

Email Rolling Stone, ask them if they'd do a story along with the history of the film and who shot it. I don't imagine they'd pay much.
Next stop, ebay.

If it really is authentic and has any interesting content, I suspect, to the right person, it could be worth 6 maybe even 7 digits.

Was asking it's worth as my client owes me a fair bit of money and apparently he's going auction it and pay me when it sells.
Funny bit in it when the interviewer asks them what they'll be doing when they're 30 and they say 'we won't be dong this (playing music)'

I bet you could get $10,000 tops if its of interest at all. Unless its them chillin with Elvis there's no way you'd get 6-7 digits.

It'll be 7 digits or $7.50 – There will be no in between.

Hopefully worth more than a poster...

$00007.50 is seven digits

@Dodecahedron
You should really research what Beatles memorabilia can go for. If its a one of a kind original video that nobody knew existed, there will be big interest and potentially big bucks.
If its of any significant length, just releasing it on DVD for all the fans would be worth some real cash.
There was just a BBC story that someone sold some unpublished Beatles photos for $20k. So an interesting video, I suspect, could easily get into 6 figures. Yes, maybe a million is over the top.
- $10,000 my final offer. Its unique and interesting sure but not a serious rarity.********
- You've watched said video to make that statement, have you?ETM
- no i'm just guessing its nothing special. Safe bet I think, I'd like to know who the other famous person is.********
- I'm going to get the chance to watch it next week so will let you knowali
- Apparently it's a famous guitar playerali
- Hmm... Eric Clapton maybe? Him and George were buddies I believe.ETM
- It was in Spain so maybe someone they met thereali

Either way, update us if/when it sells, ali.

Has to be sent to London so could be a while before it goes to auction. I'll post the sell price here when/if it does. Will be interesting to see if it makes enough to cover his overpaid bill.

Yes, I know a video is not in the same class as some of the below, but it just goes to show what some people are willing to pay for their collectibles:
Top 5 most expensive Beatles collectibles:
5. John Lennon's talisman necklace, sold 2008, $528,000
4. Gibson SG guitar played by George Harrison and John Lennon, $567,500
3. A hand painted Beatles Sgt. Pepper's drum skin, sold 2008, $1.1m
2. John Lennon's Steinway piano, sold 2000, for $2.1m
1. John Lennon's hand painted Rolls Royce Phantom V, sold 1985, $2.23m- I always wanted that necklace.
