I'm working on a logo, some packaging and a website for a small but growing food product manufacturer.
Any good (or bad) examples of logo's that features grains?

I'm trying to show my client that the grain logo idea is well overplayed. Any help would be most welcome.

A couple from Brand New.
I tend to disagree that the grains shape is played out - it's the *poor* logos using grains that are played out. If used properly they can be a good symbol for quality and tradition. I wouldn't discount them out of hand.

Grains mean wholesome, lefty, real, healthy, satisfying food that people think is grown by a farmer they'd like on a quaint farm that doesn't harm nature or some such feel-good bullshit. I don't think it's ever going to age as a device in food branding.

Anyone can put grains into their logo, but how does that show their uniqueness? Doesn't it say, yes, we are also making food out of grain? I'm just worried about the Me Too aspect.

Well what do they make?
- they make something that is a cross between a rice cake and a taco but made from wheat.Amicus

- whatever it is, the execution is definitely flawed if none of us are certain what it's called.Amicus
