Has anyone in the UK or US done freelance work for any companies on the other side of the pond?
Did it work out ok? Sending files?

I live in the U.S. and did freelance work for companies in Belgium and another European country. The first client was great and paid on time. The Belgium client was a cunt though. They both did a wire transfer. We communicated with a few phone calls, but mostly email.

I worked for an American agency from London. I charged my rate normally in sterling and they were not very happy about that. They paid directly into a US based account that I own. We used basecamp and and it was mostly fine. Phone + occasional skype chat and all good.
I also worked for Spain and US from Argentina. And for UK from Spain... and Co-ordinated a few projects between US and Argentina... from London!
If you work with professionals it would be the same as working with any other freelancer next door.
Only ensure that your spelling suits your target market.

How do companies from other companies react to you enquiring about a job they advertised. I'd imagine quite a lot are afraid to take the risk of something different.
- How do companies from other companies? huh?plash
