Even opensource php alternatives would be good if anyone knows of some.

What's up with the BC hate?
- meffid0
It's not so much hate, it's just not intuitive, and over popular and priced for what it is.

I've used Copper before, and absolutely love it, from an end-user's POV. Like any other PM suite, if it's properly used by the people administering it, then it's great for the end users.
I've played around with the demo as an admin, and it's really robust.
Downside: the price tag. That's an expensive beast.
For open source, there's PHP Collab, but it hasn't been updated in a couple of years and it's missing some critical components, in my mind, like a cost estimate module that would take into account project team costs plus corresponding markups. So, you'd have to build that functionality in yourself.

One advantage PHP Collab has over Copper (at least the version I used) is that PHP Collab has a client login; basically, you create the projects page, and the client can look at the status of the project, approve files from their dashboard, upload their own and so on, so that's a good functionality to have.

Tried a bunch of these and settled with Projecturf (http://www.projecturf.com/)
It does what it needs to and doesn't look as shit as most other services. Can keep track of tasks, files, tickets, time and clients. Costs a bit per month but not enough for me to remember how much.

A comprehensive and the cheapest software we are currently using is <a href="http://www.workforcetrack.com"> WorkforceTrack.com </a>. Personally, I`m using it on my Android device.
