Fontsmith has designed two typeface families for global telecoms provider Telefonica. Matching Slab and Sans serifs.

You know why the changed Teléfonica to Movistar?
Everyone in Spain calls Telefónica Timofónica, timo = swindle, that's what the fuckers do with your phone bills...

Movistar is the brand name for the mobile phone service owned by Telefonica... same as O2 is the brand name for the UK Telefonica owned mobile service. We can sell it to you in a few years :-)

Telefonica is now the name for the group as an institution, they did this rebranding also to make Movistar the brand for mobile, home, adsl, etc.
The slogan during the TV spots and banners was "Telefonica es ahora Movistar" -> "Telefonica is now Movistar", the campaign was brutal, in TV, every major newspaper both print&online, billboards, bus stops, everywhere.

@Fontsmith before this change it was just like you said with O2, Movistar was only cellphones and Telefonica was landlines, ADSL, now they unified everything under Movistar:
