If you have a photo in AE that has some animation on it, how do you swap that for a different photo in the library, but still keep all the animation?
In flash you can easily just replace it, I dont see that here.

select it and alt-drag the new one on it

That's what I always do, but wasn't there a keystroke command for that? I can't remember what it was.
There should be one. I need to do that about every 10 minutes.

you can either precompose the orginal photo, and alter it within its new composition.
Or you can right click the file in the project window and click set proxy and select the new photo.

in your project window, select your original image and hit apple/ctrl H to replace footage file. it will globally replace all instances of that asset, rather than having to alt+drag to every one.
