Just curious if any of you have a workflow of working with layer comps from a PSD to After Effects. We usually storyboard in photoshop using layer comps as we find it very easy to turn on and off things but the motion designer was wondering if AE supports layer comps as when he pulls them into AE it's just a ton of layers in folders. Let me know your thoughts.

yeah AE supports the PS folders. it will import them as separate comps.

Whats up Jordan :) ... yeah what Douglas said
just try to organize and clean the psd file as best as you can to help your AE guy a bit. He will appreciate it

Something to remember, that your after effects guy may appreciate.
(consult with him first, maybe is just my personal preference)Center all objects in Photoshop, this way if you have a beachball for example, that on your comp needs to be on the left corner, but will be rotating in the animation. If you center elements, AE will make the rotation axis centered in the middle of the object, so when the ball rotates it will look natural. maybe a bit hard to explain?
