is standard portfolio size 800 by 600?

Any one know the standard size for online portfolios now days, I remember years ago it was 800 by 600... Is it 1024 by 768 now? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

960 wide for the designed website... I'm using 750x500 for my images.... the top and bottom have to be fairly small for it to work on a small laptop.... or netbook....

you should be fine designing for 1024x768... i typically design sites (assuming they're fixed width) at 1000. the stats on people who have 800x600 monitors these days is almost nonexistent.

Only about 1% of users are at 800x600 and over 75% are at a resolution over 1024x768. However, it seems like most people still design for 1024x768, and the 960 grid seems to be pretty standard nowadays.
