Hey,
my partner and I are looking to make some boutique, physical items and are interested in talking to an industrial designer (must know CAD) to hire/collaborate with to make some of these sketches, thoughts, ideas a reality.
Preferably someone who has worked/works on small boutique items (more Tobias Wong than phillippe starck)...
I'm not aware of a site like QBN for Industrial Designers, so I'm posting this here. Would be preferable if they lived in Chicago, but not entirely necessary. We would prefer them to have contact/ability to create 3-d mockups (3-d printer) and ultimately know someone/company that could put this stuff into production.
Thanks for reading this over. If you aren't an industrial designer, and know someone who is, would love to hear from them!
Thanks Qubez!

What you need is a mechanical engineer.
And most mechanical engineer or ID do not own a 3d printer. Maybe have access to printers.
You also need to source manufacturing your self.
I would actually contact a prototyping shop who most likely has all you are asking for.
Help you design, engineering, prototype and manufacturing.
