It might have been This American Life. This is what I remember: The premise was a study conducted about the public's taste in art. Most people said they liked landscape art, pond, trees on each site. Only country in the world that had a different consensus was Holland, that liked abstract. Same with music, people preferred soft rock and hated opera, country and hip-hop. The people that conducted the study then made a hip-hop/country/opera song. You know where I can find this study?

There was something about this written in the Atlantic Monthly if I remember right.. something about a semi-pseudo-scientific formula to determine highest rated painting with appropriate amount of blue sky and green grass.etc... it was somewhat funny
