ok, so..
fusion festival in Berlin this year there was this stage called tubebox, outside of this stage was a small bar. this small bar had a dj.for close to 7 hours.. this dj played the same song, over and over and over, with small breaks in between where he would talk about all sorts of things.
but the crowd of about 500 people would always eventually make enough noise to get him to play the song again.
eventually we all moved to take over another stage down the other end of the festival site..
it was the most surreal musical experience i have ever had, not to mention the most genuinely entertaining. i danced there for about an hour at 5am.. conga line and all.
have a listen to the song tho.. its so addictive

and the reason they took over the other dancefloor, bach stelzen, a berlin party crew who have a stage at fusion, decided this year to move their stage completely to the other end of the site.. isolating them from the rest of the festival..

If I had to listen to that song just ONE time all the way through, I would shoot my face off.

"or close to 7 hours.. this dj played the same song, over and over and over, with small breaks in between where he would talk about all sorts of things."

That's an interesting study in crowd mentality. Everyone can influence each others emotions based on what the crowd is doing. It looks like fun, but I'm not sure it would be 7 hours of fun for me.
It sounds like there are words that goes with the tune. Any idea what it's about or what they're saying?
Not gonna lie, it kinda sounded and looked like a happy hardcore rave. That's cool that you had that experience though.

yeah i didnt really stay there the whole 7 hours, but the stage was in the middle of the festival site, so i kept dropping in when we walked past.. but by the morning, i couldnt resist and got sucked into it.
as for words between songs.. it was just the dj talking about a bunch of different things, but for the past hour or so it was basically about how lame bach stelzen was for moving down the other end of the site.. and how they think they are better than the rest of us yada yada.. so eventually, we flashmobbed them.
it was awesome.
totally bizarre
