Departure boards that flip use solid character glyphs. The typeface used here makes no sense as it's meant to imitate backlit LCD departure boards :

:p I know it was a annoying type observation. I figured I'd quarantine it in this single thread and if I have the urge to "observe" anything else I'll just add it here instead of making more threads. Thereby protecting the integrity of the containment unit.

I'm not even sure why they even went with this face, tbh. Most departure boards I've seen (like the one at Frankfurt Airport T1) use Futura Condensed Extra Bold.
