so heres round two - thanks for all the great suggestions previously
( http://www.qbn.com/topics/635828… )
This will be the last round i think (I am doing this logo for free so i'm not spending too much time on it)

Just wondering: why didn't you follow up in your original thread?
- i linked to this thread...should i post the image there as well?yeeblazer
- Yeah it was unnecessary to make a new thread.CygnusZero4

2b, though the amount of space you gave for the implied snout is a bit much. However, i'm not sure how you should resolve that
- disagree. The space holds where a letter would be nicely. 2a is awkward because the snout isn't as pronouncedChrista

maybe the snout can fit within the U if you use a different font.
- dbloc0
or maybe the wolf can slightly cover a few letters.

2a and b are going some where. Make the animal more masculine.

sorry but the concept is literal for me.
did u try an animal print masked in the type?
- iCanHasQBN0
- is that a mean deer?dirtydesign
- also, i dont think this animal looks too weak or too much like a deer. it looks like a non-descript, wild animal.iCanHasQBN
- dirty, a deer is not the first thing i see when i look at this. also, i like how it retains the shape of the M, unlike the wolf up there.iCanHasQBN
- I thought fox first.i_monk
- i thought it was a fox...illustration could be cleaner imobriareos
- i thought it was some sort of small feral dog.iCanHasQBN
- hmm im liking the attitude/idea of this mini threadyeeblazer
- i was going for kinda generic animal here....seems to have workedyeeblazer
- I thought it was a fox as well. I like this version but the bottom text seems heavyiheartfun
- I agree with not breaking up "construction" and keep the Kerning consistentSethcs
- Best one so fartymeframe

2 a or b, but you need at least a partial U there to outline the jaw/snout.
- no, this would be too much, too literal. it loses its cleverness.iCanHasQBN
- Breaking up CONSTRU CTION doesn't make sense. At least omit/overlap the U.i_monk

2a, 2b. Add some mouth to it.
- then what next? whiskers and a tail? does it not already imply "animal"????iCanHasQBN
- Imply the mouth, as was done by adding the nose to the one logo.dMullins

Manimal
Construction

2a is still the strongest. Great little logo.
- Continuity0
I would ditch 3 altogether. The treatment on the m just reminds me too much of a house-cat.

So glad you changed the Construction font... the old R was hinky.

im partial to 1a and 1b, plus i think they'd look on a lot of different mediums.
