More lies from Steve Jobs

My iPhone 3G had to update over night to the new OS - not that I mind, it's the first few days. But, since I have a 3G (version 2), I'm assed out on a ton of new features.
Note how this article states that the battery drain would be about the same as a 3GS. Lying and denying features seems to be Apple's strategy when it comes to iPhones/iPads, doesn't it?

How do you someone has an Iphone?
he tells you that he bought one then bitch about it when he realize he's been hoodwinked,

It's still probably the best phone you can get. I checked out the Sprint EVO, and was not happy with the usability and the browser does some messed up things on some flash pages. I don't think anything else is in the running.
And nothing came close two years ago when I bought my 3G.
- Flash 10.1 isn't available on the EVO just yet. Maybe it has crappy FlashLite.munch

Reading all this iPhone 4/iOS4 stuff has pretty much convinced me to stick with the prefectly good JBed/unlocked 3GS I've got, and not update the OS (which I haven't anyway since 3.0.1), and consider going back to something decidedly more old school phone-like when the 3GS goes tits-up.

I could never go back to an ordinary phone. The iPhone is a great product, but I hate when Jobs lies to his customers.

Well, corporations lying to the consumer is nothing new, especially in the tech business. Look at all of those installation screens on Window ME telling us about how fantastic peripheral support was with that version (uh-huh), and how it was the most stable Windows ever (yeah, right).
I think my unwillingness to bite - as far as the iPhone 4 is concerned - is asking myself if I really need this wonderous machine that does nearly everything, except my morning coffee and Flash sites, especially since what I'm using now is in near perfect condition.
Then I asked myself if I really need something that does everything the iPhone does. The only answer I could come up with was no, so once this dies, I'm going to break the cycle of consumer insanity, and just get something that performs the only two basic functions I need: phone calls and SMS.

- yeah, even though it's nothing new doesn't make it ok.pizzafire

I would say about 1% of my time spend on the iPhone is using it as a phone. I love the thing despite some very serious complaints I have.
I'm rooting heavily for the good people at smokescreen to come through.

All of that having said, though, I wonder what Der Führer Jobs would have to say about my MBP running hot since 10.6.4 ... that it's not sitting on my desk properly?
- will probably be down to Flashlukus_W
- all MBP runs hot.akrokdesign
