I have a VERY simple need for bones. It's just a bend at the end of a cylinder that the Bend Deformer isn't handling well enough.
I can't find one decent tutorial or example out there for C4D, preferably v11. I can't even find any clear direction on how to fix bones to an object.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

bones are going to add way more complexity to your scene than you'll need if all you want is a bend at the end of a cylinder.
posting some screencaps or a scene file would help us to help you in seeing what you're trying to achieve.

Hey, M_C_P, I forgot to post what I did with your paper morph example you sent me a while back.

CyBrain, your link above is to your main page. did you mean to post a direct link to the file?

I think those comment boxes get truncated sometimes. Here's the scene file.

Let me try that again.

does the curvature need to be animated?

Yeah, I thought about that on the way home and realized I was obsessing over learning bones instead of solving the problem.
Taking a look at your file now.

Can you create a lattice in C4D? I reckon this could be a much more simple way of getting a bend ..
- M_C_P0
There a lattice deformer called freeform deformation. C4D's version of it is a little clunky and by the time you set it all up to move the points of the deformation, you could have just moved the points in your original mesh. for this scenario, at least.

I try to avoid using deformers in situations like this.
Perhaps re-build using a sweep nurbs?
