I hope Italy does better in the 1st round, that way Brazil will avoid playing them on the 2nd round.

I know Mexico needs a ton of work with finishing, but you got to admit they have been looking deadly against some of the best teams in the world.
I just hope they have a good showing.
- how will they do good? they don't have any brazilian on the team, MexicoSoulFly
- yes we do. muwahahahaha!!!!sofakingbanned
- dude, but they've been playing mostly with their A team... while other teams have been playing with a lot if subs... be realisticOSFA

Yes Holland, Italy and England were not 100%
but that doesnt change the fact that mexico has been playing really well. they lost 2 of those games but they were still damn good looking. They showed tons of character and no fear... something i think Mexico has lacked in the past against euro teams.I'm very happy mexico has been playing its full squad because they're are getting more time to tryout their REAL wc team against good opponents.
Im not saying they're gonna be the best team there, im just saying things are looking good for us to make it out of our group.
Mexicos real goal at this cup is to get that 5th game, mexico is not a perfect squad but I feel that if they can get that 5th game the future is going to be bright for these guys.

I hear you but also need to be objective. You're telling me you liked how Mexico played against Holland? I'm sorry, but I watched that game and they killed them... until subs... and back then everyone was bitching and complaining, stating the team was a joke, etc... now that they beat Italy, I hear on the radio and TV that 59% think it can make it all the way to semis....
It's not a bad team, they do fight and that is good. But, you can't go telling everyone how your team is amongst the top of the world because it beat Italy... and they 'played good' against England (3-1) and Holland (2-1?), Chile...etc knowing they played with more than half of each team's subs...
Just trying to make sense... living in Miami you get a lot of Mexican-biased press and to be honest, it gets annoying...
- sofakingbanned0
yea but you get that from many teams. dude I cant stop hearing about how Argentina is gonna win the world cup and they haven't had a team capable of doing that in years... but i cant stop hearing how they're the favorites.
Read what i posted, I'm not saying Mexico is gonna win the cup or that they're the most amazing team this WC.
What I'm saying is that they are playing good, to my liking, much better than we have before. I think Mexico is showing it actually has a chance to get that 5th game. That's all guy.
I do think there's some good things Mexico did in the Holland game, subs or not mexico was always 50% possession, made attempts at gol, and managed to pull 1 back after being 2 down from 2 very nasty gols. That my friend shows character.
Here look at the numbers, theres something to take from this game. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/mat…
Also Mexico did not start their strongest lineup. What they fielded in England and Italy is Mexicos line up, thats why they played better in those games. Clearly losing is not a good thing but hey mexico isn't amongst the best, but they sure as hell are gonna try and they're proving that.
We'll see June 11th though.
- friendly games don't mean shitMilan
- They do when they're 7 days away from your WC opener.sofakingbanned
- you really called me guy???

Trust me, I know what you mean. In fact I am happy that they finally have young players to rely on. Hernandez, Vela and Dos Santos are what 22? and they're the starting offense? THAT is good news for you guys and I am glad there's a coach that has the balls to introduce new blood and leave behind the old timers that to be honest never won crap and never will. I am sorry if I sounded like an idiot or offended you, I guess I can blame it on the press which unfortunately is very biased and obsessive.
Now, the ting with Argentina, yes they have not done crap either, but they will always be considered a favorite because A, the have won World Cups in the past and B, player by player, they do have one of the strongest teams in the world! It is a given that with that quality and talent n the pitch, they will always be labeled as possible favorites.
All in all, I wish you the best, hopefully Mexico gets to play that 5th game and I hope we're cool... I've seen how things end up getting sour pretty easily here. It's just futbol talk bro!
Nice weekend!
