Hi there,
I have been trying to edit a wordpress site.
And I realize that the code I need to edit is in the header.php.
But when I go there.. I get this..
<?php if (apply_filters('thematic_show_bodyclass',TRUE)) { // Creating the body class ?><body class="<?php thematic_body_class() ?>">
<?php } // action hook for placing content before opening #wrapper thematic_before(); ?>
<div id="wrapper" class="hfeed">
<?php // action hook for placing content above the theme header thematic_aboveheader(); ?>
<div id="header">
<?php // action hook creating the theme header thematic_header(); ?>
</div><!-- #header-->
<?php // action hook for placing content below the theme header thematic_belowheader(); ?>
<div id="main">
How do I find the HTML that I need to edit?
Thanks so much

first use apple+q to check for errors. You should find the answer right there.

go through the themes folder and you will find it all there in the files - takes some digging but its all there - nothing comes from nothing.
oh and use firebug to find the styles that need editing.

Yea I'm finding other files but it only seems to get more confusing.
I can't find that HTML anywhere.I found this...
// Create the blog title
// In the header div
function thematic_blogtitle() { ?>
<div id="blog-title"><span><a href="<?php bloginfo('url') ?>/" title="<?php bloginfo('name') ?>" rel="home"><?php bloginfo('name') ?></a></span></div>
<?php }
add_action('thematic_header','th...

from what you posted. in the header it looks like its pointing to a theme file
which i think you posed 2 posts above.
thats the theme file, the part you edit.if your looking to point that url to someplace specific. you can do that two ways.
1. find the blog info url info field <php bloginfo('url')>
prob. in the wordpress admin setup page. <mind you this is the preferred way>or 2. change the url code.
<div id="blog-title"><span>
<a href="http://YOURSITE.COM" title="<?php bloginfo('name') ?>" rel="home"><?php bloginfo('name') ?></a>
</span>
</div>

The best places for support are going to be the WordPress.org support forums:
and the Themeshaper (the makers of the theme framework you're using, Thematic) support site:
