Have an offer from someone to do one of those canal boat trips through England. I think it's something like:

I've never been to England - and I'm not sure about this. Think it's worth doing? Honestly, all the pictures look like you're just stuck in a 10 foot wide channel for endless miles.

Usually my expectation for kicking back would be sailing.. on an ocean or something. This is definitely pretty different for me - is there much to see on the canal? Like is it all trees the entire time or do you pass through villages as well?

You could go right through London if you wanted, on the Regent's Canal.
If you've good company, a load of booze and weed, some good choons and a good food itinerary, I'd imagine a few days worth would be a blast. I've only done a day's outing, personally - but I spend a lot of time down the canals here in London in summer. Nice atmosphere.
.
That sounds really dodgy.
I'm not cruising or anything...
