i used top play with microwaves a lot as a kid.
take a coffee mug and fill it with water, then put a lightbulb in it. microwave and the bulb will light up.
oil the bottom of the microwave, then put in some grapes and turn it on. the steam escaping from the grapes will make them scoot around
cut a grape in half but not all the way. fold the halves so both cut portions are face down with the bit of connective skin at the top. microwave and watch the sparks

I never fuck with microwaves because I'v always assumed of all the things you could do, I would do the one thing that made my next cup of Instant Ramen™ into Instant Cancer™.

you could fill it full of water and fish. Make sure to unplug it first, for safety reasons.

another thing i did as a kid– you can take an old lamp cord, separate the two bundles of wire so you have a pos and neg, stick them into opposing ends of a hot dog and when you plug it in it'll cook.
do this with a pickle and it will fucking glow from within like a lightbulb
