A survivor's tale - aired tonight on 60 Minutes here in the U.S. Unbelievable!
"I hear the engines revving. The lights are glowing. I'm hearing the alarms. I mean, they're at a constant state now. It doesn't stop. But even that's starting to get drowned out by the sound of the engine increasing in speed. And my lights get so incredibly bright that they physically explode. I'm pushing my way back from the desk when my computer monitor exploded," Williams told Pelley.
Pelley jumped nearly 100 feet into the dark burning waters below to save himself.

Seems to be squarely BP's fault according to Pelley, by rushing the temporary 'cap-off' of the well, and a faulty Blow Out Preventor they knew was bad, but were almost ready to cap the well and pull the rig away.
- Williams jumped, not Pelley.
According to Williams, not Pelley.
Sorry, I'm tired.ghandolf - Lights get so bright they explode? Um, ok?404NotFound
- The escaping methane gas cloud, was sucked into the generators, increasing their speed.ghandolf
- Williams jumped, not Pelley.

I watched that tonight
how scary it must have been to jump into the dark ocean .. Survive the 10 storey jump only to realize that you're in oily water and there's fire all around you

"something happened a long time ago in the United States, and people might not want to talk about it, they were under the heel of the English, uh, you know, King Georges the third and whatever, and they got together and swore a pact to the devil, they said, we will serve you, if you get us free from the King, true story.
And so the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal.' And they kicked the English out, the Colonist revolted and got themselves free, and ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other, desperately fat. . . the continent of America is one island cut down in three parts, On the one side is Canada, on the other side is the Mexico. Canada is, is, prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, etc. The U.S is in desperate turmoil, same Islands, uh, they need to have, and we need to pray for them, a great turning to God. And out of this tragedy, I'm optimistic something good may come, but right now we're helping the suffering people, and the suffering is unimaginable."

My friend's brother is a programmer, machinist
and engineer. He is quite brilliant. He has an idea for stopping the
oil spill in the Gulf, but cannot find a way to get through to BP. All
the public routes are choked by protests.Does anyone have a contact at BP? Can anyone suggest a way to get a feasible solution to BP?- send it to someone at the NYTimes or CNN or some media outlet.Douglas
