Hi guys! I have a object that is very thin and 14cm by 45cm long. Like a length of cardboard I want to have several bends in it but these bends must be editable and the object must be one mesh so there are no breaks at the edges. I have tried to do this with bones and joints and I have managed to bend the object but the edges on the bends arn't straight and its causing my mesh to warp. All I want are sharp 90 degree bends. It can't be that difficult?

try doing it with your main mesh and a few bend deformers. zero out the value on your phong tag to get more angled, less smoothed look.
how subdivided is your mesh?
- Fairly Divided. Length ways there are 45 subdivision one for each centimeter . I want it to act kind of like an accordion. All springy.benvoid

have you tried messing with the weight tool? look to see if each of the points are weighted at either 0% or 100%. No values in between.

If you have the object in a hypernurbs you can add edge cuts on the inside and out side of the bends very close together to get a sharper corner

Thanks fellas. I'll have a little play around.
