Is there a way of selecting only the flowers on this image..

mess about with channels / levels to increase the contrast, Then select color range.
It is going to be difficult to not do a lot of clean up by hand due to the the shadows / shading.

What FB said - you 'can' but you'll likely waste time and detail in the process. Imo, you'd be better off recreating the artwork from scratch. Doesn't look all that complicated.
- lol - that will be a quick solution********

it's comprised of what looks like two leaf/petal forms and some lines - you're in the wrong business if you can't see that :
a) it wouldn't be at all hard or time consuming to accomplish
b) it'd achieve better results than some haphazard bitmap extractionbut hey, ckentish, you're clearly in receipt of all the answers here - what's your suggestion?
Or are you, once again, merely trying to stick the knife in, in some toady game of oneupmanship?

Just gave it a shot. Values in the image are too similar to accurately and speedily isolate.
FB and detritus are right. Pen tool. Recreate.
