use less dpi. like 150.
work double sized, pixels wise instead.
then shrink it down 50% in powerpoint.- interesting.... that may work.... client may re-tweek back to crap fast though...vaxorcist

If it prints fine, why not just create 2 powerpoints. One for print with the hi-res images, and one for his presentation using low-res ones that look nicer when presented?
Essentially the same powerpoint for both but do "replace image" or whatever it is.

word... save as PDF - will be better than powerpoint crap

he'll appreciate you trying to fix this now (using something better and more appropriate than powerpoint) than giving him something that will give him problems down the road. eh?

Powerpoint = Problems.... almost always...
(not always due to the software, but the sales idiots who use it)

You're doing yourself and your client a disservice by letting them lead you like this.
- exactly - use it as an opportunity to educate them in the ways of the force.hans_glib

I think the max you should put into powerpoint is 150. Maybe it's compressing it?
- yes i think powerpoint is compressing the jpg set as background by default...i need to change this value...Mishga

Suggest a Restaurant menu in Powerpoint is not the way to go and that you should offer the menu as a presentation through a PDF?
- indeed - don't use powerpoint for a menu!ckentish

Here's the deal, this client need to edit the A4 powerpoint and print it. (It's a restaurant menu). So I have the logo and footer set as a background, in a powerpoint doc A4. The jpg is 2480 px × 3508 px.
Thanks guys...
