This guy's answer did not suffice -
It sounds like its retrieving the blocked image from your browser's cache on a non-blocked site. A shift+refresh should do the trick for you.

^ it doesn't appear on qbn and the direct hotlink gives me the black box of despair, however if I click your preview link I can navigate directly to the image on imgur's servers and bypass the black box of despair - too much work though to see some funny pics
