Seriously, why does Illustrator or any program for that matter, offer the option for CMYK JPEGs?
- jimbojones0
because you can actually print jpegs

zomg!
- inkpink0
one reason; you get better result if working in CMYK to export to CMYK then convert to RGB in photoshop.
- valentim0
why not? you cant print them!

PDF preset "press quality" is uses jpeg compression... and yes that'd be CMYK.

WOW...so if you have the capability to create or convert JPEGs via any of the preferred software you use...WHY the fuck would you CHOOSE to print from JPEGs!!!? Is it merely a file size concern!?
- first off...chill the fuck out. Most stock photos come in a JPEG formatmonospaced
- whats the point in converting it to any other format if it is jpeg the original format, then this might need to go to print...valentim
- like you said mono!valentim
- sorry I know using extra punctuations and the word FUCK implies extra stress...forgive me;)
AMOK - I have a hard time understanding your comments, valentimmonospaced

Alright...so let me pose this QUESTION to you all! When delivering a LOGO file, which FORMATS do you save and deliver to the client?
- pdf, ai, eps, svg, jpg, tiff, bmpidiots
- OK so RGB JPG or CMYK JPG? or Both?AMOK
- RGB jpeg, client will be using it for emails and shitinkpink
- DOES THE CLIENT NEED IT FOR WEB??????? OR PRINT??????jimbojones
- AGREED!
AMOK - ... and dressing up their Word docs which won't be going to press.inkpink
- lets say Both Jimbo jonesAMOK
- + that list of logo formats is over the top in my opinion; .eps .pdf and .jpg is what i sendinkpink
- if client has any need for a cmyk raster image they should know what to do with the .epsinkpink
- jimbojones0
.bmp
- jimbojones0
anyone who thinks the client won't give the tiny RGB JPG logo to everyone for print use... think again.
- couldn't have said it better myself...I am trying to figure out a way to prevent this!
AMOK - not your problem.inkpink
- I name the file blah bla_PRINT and bla bla_WEBEtype
- what's vector leave in vector, what's raster leave in raster, empty what's full. fill what's empty. scratch what itches.jimbojones
- couldn't have said it better myself...I am trying to figure out a way to prevent this!
- Etype0
who uses rgb jpegs?
- inkpink0
- supply client with .eps (cmyk) .pdf (cmyk) and .jpeg (rgb)
- explain what each is for, even include notes on the logo page
- anything more is overkill and confusing for your client.
- quote "my designer left me a bunch of files, but I *always* send this one and noone complained so I deleted the rest"jimbojones
- why 2 CMYK files?doesnotexist
- Perfect, well put and supply RGB JPEG as a low res 72dpi version as wellali
- Agreed.Reaact
