Hello.
I have a hard time finding (read googling) the answer to this quite simple question, since my english is sucky sucky.
I have this text : 1/2, 1/3, 3/3, etc etc. on a couple of pages.
I want to change the formating of all the numbers before the "/".I know there is a grep formula to find/change the formatting of any digit and put back the "/" in its original formatting, but can't find it...
Am I clear ?
I know I can go and find any digit + "/" and change, but that would change the formatting of the / symbol, wich I do not want.Plus, I think that the "/" is a part of a formula, wich could complicate things.
Any help or hint would be awesome.
Thanks !

does "grep" = "group" ??

you need to "look ahead" to the slash character, but not select it in your pattern, so...
(.)(?=/)
matches any single character before a slash, but won't modify the slash itself.
or...
[0-9]*(?=/)
any number of digits before a slash

just like ascence said. you can also use:
(\d)(?!/)
to look for the numbers after the slash.
