hey guys I am looking for a place to live soon i know its in advanced but thought i could post now here is my shpeal:
I am 30 years old, Australian that has been living in NYC for the last 5 months. My flatmate lease is up which has force me to find a new place to live as of June.
I looking for a new place something a little more long term up to a year....I guess depending on how things work out. Interested in areas SOHO/WESTVILLAGE/EAST VILLAGE/ LES/ NOLITA/ open to ideas ETC
i am an art director/designer...I am pretty young at heart and sociable...love going up and exploring the city, cafes, museums, bands, clubs, and bars...would be great to move in with a like minded person...
Looking for a professional, someone that's easy going, honest and is relaxed can share a beer/ or a glass of wine with every now and then...clean and not too much of a party animal. open to male/female
preferably looking for someone who already is living in nyc and has a place..
I don't need a room furnished i have a bed and desk etc...however I do need a wardrobe...
happy and open to living with a few people.
shoot me a message...

- what are the dimensions of the bathroom?vitamins
- big enough for a blow-up twin air mattress to fit between the tub and the toilet.monospaced
- i believe that's illegal.akrokdesign
- They should advertise this as "a spacious en-suite bedroom" not a bathroom with a bed.orrinward
- "I do ask that when you are in the apartment, you confine yourself to the bathroom" wtf?Andunny

I just emailed a friend that might have a room for rent. Oweinama Biu is his name. I know he was asking last week. Would be in Brooklyn around the Williamsburg area. I gave him your email

Joel, if I had a room available I would offer it up to you in a heartbeat. After meeting/drinking with you, I think I have an idea of what you need, so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Wow, you are looking for June. Oweinama just pointed this out.
Your looking WAY TOO FAR in advance for NYC living. Your best bet is to look in the month of May.- Hey, drinks on the 10th?monospaced
- i think the boy with the plan has got it better than procrastinating til may.e-pill

thanks mate but I am looking to stay in the city
- williamsburg is brooklynismith
- brooklyn is not "the city" though.Douglas
- well then what is the city to you, just Manhattan? or are you willing to include the Bronx?ismith
- Because the Brooklyn population is almost as much as those combined...ismith
- even if it is the city city... still, it's just a subway away and jose has a nice place.ismith
- i think the city is refereed as manhattan.akrokdesign
- "the city" = manhattan
"NYC" = all 5 boroughse-pill - nonsense, to me: city=nyc,manhattan=m... I never shorten the boroughs...ismith
- but then when I say the city that could also mean a number of others cities depending on who I'm talking to... maybe that's why it makes more sense to meismith
- that's why it makes more sense to me then.ismith
- oops that other note truncated... manhattan = manhattan, brooklyn = brooklyn, etc.ismith
- fyi, adding the "c" to NYC is not cool anymore.Douglas

good luck, joe.

Also if you aren't finding what you want on craigslist you could post on Archinect. There are usually a couple Columbia/Cooper/Parsons/etc grad students around the same age as you looking to split a place in the areas you like.
