Hi Guys...
So one of my friends is setting up a business making Jams and Chutneys and that. She was telling me the other day that she is learning dreamweaver (shes not a designer) and I was trying to convince her to go with wordpress otherwise she will make a complete balls of the site.
Can anoyone out there reccomend a theme that she might be able to customise to make her site look somewhat similar to this one
I dont know much about wordpress and since she is too clueless/cheap to pay me I cant be arsed to really look into it that much.
She wont be selling anything through the website so its not an e commerce site or anything...

so if i want to learn dreamweaver, does that not make me a designer?? i mean if i was to get started in web design and i was just learning web.. would you not consider me a designer?? or even if i was just to learn dreamweaver.. for my non e commerce site or anything?? because i just started to learn dream weaver so i can make myself an art page on my personal site that i am going to create.. and i tell everyone i am a designer.
but by your standards, im not..

All im trying to do is help the bird out...she wants to look legit so I wanted to give her a bit of a hand without having to actually design her site for free....i think most designers/web developers would agree that dreamweaver is shite...it results in wierd looking breaks on certain platforms/browsers...
its seems that there is always people on QBN that want to lecture someone....
Just so you are aware, being a designer is a profession, and just cos you learn dreamweaver doesnt make you a designer...I just wanted save the woman wasting her time and energy and making a shite website that will make her look amateur...Id post the link but Id rather not have anyone see the site in that state...They are not my standards you twat, they are THE standards of design.
