Hello,
I gots a real strange problem with Fullscreen in AS3 - my MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER / ROLL_OUT has decided that on certain out of date Macs it would like to ignore my command and only respond to a click instead.
Pretty f***d up. It means I cant 'handle' whats happening elsewhere properly and the whole thing goes tits up.
Other searching has resulted in 'well, thats just old computers for you' but im not sure thats going to cut it. People may actually get hung drawn and quartered for this - it will be another web massacre, many will die.
Anyone else had experience of this madness? Do you care to share so that I might not suffer a fate worse than death?
Thanks :)

Questions:
So you're still able to achieve Fullscreen on all systems?
The problem is that once in FS, your MouseEvents are ignored?
Are you sure it only happens in FS and not in a normal setting?
Which browsers/OS version is the culprit?- FS on all systems - check.
Mouse Events ignored in FS only. Firefox on a OSX 10.4. Power PC (not leopard)mase
- FS on all systems - check.

Wow that sounds like an interesting bug. Yeah I mean how old are these computers you're testing them on?
- I suppose not that old! 4 years? Power PC's about 2 versions before the intel ones came out.mase
- oooo liking that homepage mathinc - random bezier curves right? nice
mase - Thanks. It's been that way for a fucking year now. I need to get off my ass and fucking finish it.mathinc
- But yeah that's not THAT old as far as the computers go. Weird. I know Firefox on Mac is pretty shitty with Flash.mathinc
- i feel your pain. mines been like it is for about 6 years :(mase

Isn't this something related to computer security?
Not sure, but I remember that in recent player versions Full Screen can be achieved only after a user-action.- You're right, and it seems like if they're able to get to FS, then this shouldn't be the issue.acrossthesea

Solution: Don't use fullscreen. Everybody hates that anyway...

I've had similar issues on FF Mac (in and out of FS mode) and it seemed like a memory issue to me. Especially when I had a lot of other flash sites open in other FF tabs. It just seemed to lose focus and none of my RollOvers or RollOuts would work. Click events would trigger though. Closing the browser and relaunching always seemed to work. I always chalked it up to being a browser memory issue.
