I think there are some of you here that ride, so I wanted to see who does.
I just found out about a cool bus service to either Cascade Mountain or Devil's Head in Wisconsin that leaves from Chicago, called Windy City Ski.
They usually do trips on the weekends, leaving at around 6:30 am and arriving by 9:30 am. Seems like a great deal - avg. $85 for bus fare and lift ticket.
They leave from Clark/Division and Fullerton/Sheffield. Some of the trips are sponsored by Burton. I'm completely thinking about going on Saturday Feb 20th. Been quite a while for me. It's not Colorado, but it's something.

Wilmot is a damn hill. I've been there before, once, just so my girlfriend could try out snowboarding. It was fun, but miserable in the sense that it took only 15 seconds to get down the longest run.
Devil's Head and Cascade are at least a bit bigger. Longest run at DH is 3500 feet... not even a mile. Wilmot is really taking some liberty by calling itself a mountain, that's for sure.
- yo mg!!! you still playing modern warfare 2? i'm picking it up this weekend. >>kona

I went to Breckenridge every winter during college, 1997 - 2000, btw. Really hoping to go there this winter if a trip with a friend works out. I love that place!

i lived in CO for six years - snowmass, winter park, breckenridge, a-basin, loveland, copper mountain, eldora, wolf creek, steamboat springs, oh man, those were real ski areas!
i've not been to devil's head or cascade, but they do sound better than wilmot.

a-basin was my favorite shit - we went a lot because it was close to denver and we could day-trip it. i'd only been to breckenridge a couple times but i remember liking it :D hard to not like a ski area though... (unless it's wilmot)

Looks like there's a "decent" terrain park at Devil's Head, though that was never really my thing.

I lived in Colorado for 5 years and rode A-Basin, Berthoud Pass and Cooper Mt. regularly. I moved back to Ohio and rode Snow Trails in Mansfield once or twice with my old high school buddies. Needless to say 300 vertical feet it was pretty disappointing and was defiantly not Colorado.
I live in Oregon now and and it's still "not Colorado"
