detritus nailed it, it's no surprise Google are interested in making shit like this. They make their developers feel so at home there that when they're in the outside world they get withdrawal symptoms and have to hook themselves back in somehow.Like how a child abuse victim sticks with abusive relationships later in life.

I feel bad for the Wave developers. They put a lot of work and effort into coding/QA, just to watch it completely flop and be replaced with a project called "Buzz".
