Just an idea.
Creative Commons offers the major pointers in copyrights as easy to read bits. And backs that up with the long, boring legal text.
You choose your type of license, put in your name and presto it's done; it gives you something easily read by virtually anyone. So,
is there a service out there that does the same with legal work-contracts for freelance designers, and clients who worry too greatly when presented with a 10 page document printed in tiny, tiny fonts?
And if there isn't why the hell not? That is, you pick and choose some common things you want to cover in contracts and the "Contract Commons" provides both an easy to digest summary of your contract but also the smallprint to boot.
Things you'd want to cover, such as
- "if you don't give me material I can't work and that wastes time and time is money. My time is worth xxx and ..."
or
- "No you may not receive the source files. Get your stinky paws off of me"
- etc

brilliant. it's yours now. run with it.

and the best part would be the little icons, sorta like the creative commons licenses. you'd know instantly what you agreed to.

Hmm. Not a good idea then?
Just thought it'd help the little man,
doing work with even smaller men who might get pissed should they get presented with stiff legal (like, ewww) talk.
Especially if it's just from one little man.Well. Anyways. Thanks for the input.
