We are currently putting together a couple of surveys that are going out to our business clientele and to our product consumers. The main objective is to find out what they are looking to accomplish in 2010 and on, trends, behaviors, motivations, perceptions and practices so we can gear our marketing and business strategy's around them.
Do any of you have any suggestions of questions we need to ask? Maybe something you need to know. We appreciate your time and recommendations.

I see i got no responses which is fine so I am going to try one more time. I also see I forgot to mention I am willing to share the data with the QBN community. Thanks again!!

You should ask them why they've been skimping on giving us all work...
- SHAMAN0
heheh that is actually one of our objective with this - but phrased a little differently

If they had to choose between marketing towards a certain age demographic or retaining and growing with an already developed "generation" of customers, which would they rather? And do they loathe their decision?

Is your nephew available to consult with us on an adhoc basis? We hear he's really good at Photoshop.

Seriously.
Have you considered, or do you currently track the results of current marketing activities? If yes, are you noticing trends in the perception of print pieces versus web?
This one is seemingly obvious, but I wonder what responses you'll actually get –
Do you believe that there is a difference in the perception of online versus print, and do you think that there is a noticeable difference in the use of these mediums between lower priced goods and those with a higher markup or higher perceived quality?

heheh thanks Amicus, I do like the the question of tracking marketing activities. The print vs Web would also be a very interesting to see what people have to say although I do not know if that is an immediate question I need to know right now.
I will how ever keep this in mind for the next one. We are looking to continue this market researching for our industry which we will share with our peers.

Your survey questions should vary respective each of your client's unique marketplaces.

if writing and designing a survey was easy i would love to customize each survey for each client but that is not practical

some questions are also designed to find out the perception of our company and design as a whole from corporate clients (existing and potential) and product customers and consumers as a whole
