"Illustrator/Photoshop TUTOR needed (SE Portland)
Date: 2010-01-25, 3:45PM PST
Reply to: job-dvcwa-1570460229@craigslist... [Errors when replying to ads?]This is probably 4-10 hrs. of work, not a full-time job. Pay is fair and generous but definitely based on skill level.
I have some very specific questions about Illustrator and Photoshop and I'm tired of trying to search out answers online. I have a basic understanding of both programs and up until now, have sort of relied on asking friends for advice. This is not a teaching job so much as it is a "can you answer my stupid questions" job. My wife and I work from home, so tutoring can take place either daytime or after 7pm.
If you're answering this ad, please be proficient in both programs. You should be able to answer questions about the following: how to distort/distress an image, the quickest/most painless way to replace colors in each program, how do layer modes function (darken, screen, multiply, etc.) when working with different colors, how to vectorize images without destroying them completely... If you think this is you and you're interested in making money, please contact me ASAP.
Also, if you have samples of your art, I'd be happy to check it out. That's probably the best way for me to hire someone. - Thanks, Matt"

Oh Matt... You are in trouble now...

I'd swing by, tell him where to click, then blow all my winnings at the bar.

We have these all over at school, people advertising this and others asking for it. They can be quite amusing but I never had the balls to respond to one.

the ironic part is that those are not stupid questions, but really very complex questions. If you take into account that the person is a that beginner level, and reason why they can't find answers online that easy.
