It's corporate America, the day of working 25 years at the same company and retiring are over. Throw in the volatile nature of advertising in general and you got a recipe for instability.

Its the only way to boost your salary. I jumped around and ended up at one point in a company that had employed as a graduate someone from my year at college as a graduate. He was still there when I arrived. He'd been there ten years, yet I negotiated 3x the salary that he was earning. We were both same level: senior designers.

I always moved every two or three years, and that was back in the 90's to the mid 2000's. Its not a new thing.
Now I'm 40 years old, so unemployed of course.
