Have you ever taken a contract job for like 3 months or so, one which will command nearly all your time and make you unavailable to other clients/agencies/etc?
If so, how did being out of pocket for that period of time affect any other freelance relationships you might have had? Anything overly negative?

no way of swinging both freelance and 3-month contract? I'm doing it now...
Days = long but income is out of control...
If you can only do the one 3-monther; just make sure your clients are aware of the job... I told all of my clients i'll be taking on a small amount of freelance until spring and all I got were" good hustle!" comments...
No damage done...

I've done this countless times. I'm on three simultaneous "full-time" long term freelance contracts now. Just don't sleep.

I just finished one a couple of days ago, working on site, water cooler talks, group walks to starbucks, face to face interaction, long hours, bigger monitors, wow... I didn't know how I missed the regular job life.
I also told my clients that I was working on site for a couple of months, and I was able to swing small projects pretty quick, and other ones just moved forward a bit slower, but no major damage
- +1 on missing regular job life... Something great about structure / the perks...ideaist
