thanks N, why does browsing suck? Are there sites that don't work well or that don't work? I've never used any phone browser. iphone plans are too expensive for me

yeah the iphone is way overpriced.
so your choices are android (nexus 1, droid or xperia x10), windows mobile (htc hd2/leo), nokia 900 (linux phone) or a piece of symbain crap, or blackberry (sucks)

none of the smartphones are overpriced. expensive compared to the non 'smartphone' but shit, if you don't need all the whizzbang stuff in them then don't get one, just get a phone.

and while i'm passing through, pr2, yes i hear your point and i understand. what you have to understand is that the pressure from your arsehole is collapsing your head. the captain of your brainship is drinking at the wheel. insert more humourous degrading terms here.
yes, we are all consumer sheep at times but fuck, sometimes things are popular because they're the leading edge of their market in terms of product delivery. sometimes they're just priced right or solve a problem.
if your going to complain that we're a 'creation of boring' due to the stuff we buy then wow, you aim low huh. seriously you only judge yourself and others by the products they buy rather than what the create and do with said products? care less about the item and more about the end results.
and if your riffing against companies and corporations: do you make your own linen and cloth to clothe yourself? do you product your own electricity? homebrew your own chardonnay (i'm making a judgement call there), etc, etc. the answer is probably no, so take a break from the self-imposed social angst and go watch the comedy of your choice, you need the break.
