is there any out there that rips and auto-search for lyrics and cover?
I want to to rip all my collection before I move abroad (in March), about 1000 cds.

not sure about lyrics bu doesn't iTunes search for album covers already?
- itunes only search the ones u've bought on itunes store, or am i wrong?chrisRG
- I've had it find all my albums ripped burned or whatever. As long as the title and band name are spelled correctly.dropdown
- It will search for every cover in your library if you go to "Advanced" and select "Get album artwork". You need an itunes account I believe, but it def works.xcreonx

there is probably some lyric site that will have the lyrics for a whole album in one page and you can just scroll down+copy+paste?

ChrisRG.
I think there is a script you can do this with ITunes.
I had a friend vaguely mention this same situation the other day ripping his music and collecting the album covers.
The script doesnt work for lyrics.

in itunes cmnd > "get cover art"...
then most important if you plan on sharing or moving your mp3's between libraries:
select tracks and run this embed artwork script:
http://dougscripts.com/itunes/sc…otherwise your art is just linked in your user library and not saved into the mp3.

and if you plan on ripping all your CDs on Mac, and you have an ear for quality, I highly recommend ripping using a LAME encoder and at "V0" alt extreme or 320 alt insane quality.

as for finding artwork that itunes can't find, i've tried a ton of scripts and the basic "Find Album Artwork with Google" is best in my opinion...
http://dougscripts.com/itunes/sc…
doesn't automatically embed into your tracks but its a few steps quicker than searching yourself.
i also use it when i'm too lazy to google any info on what i'm listening to... inserts text into image search, just flip over to web results.

I would just pay some kid $100 to do the ripping for me. Then sort the artwork out later.
