Who cleans your house?
Serious Question. Is it you? your partner? a third party under contract? a relative? nobody?

i clean my room but i use a 3rd party to clean the house.

I don't like the idea of paying someone to clean up my mess - I'd rather do it myself.

In our house it's everyone's job (me, wife, son).
• Every day after supper the three of us dedicate 15 minutes to straightening up (generally known in these parts as "redding up")
• One day a week all three of us tackle a set of rooms (say, both bedrooms) for a more thorough cleaning
• Kitchen and baths on their own schedules (daily tasks with a more intense bi-monthly routine)
This generally keeps things in good shape. We have a small house and I seriously have no idea why anyone would want a large one.

Had a couple of cleaners in the past, still occasionally get one in for a 'deep clean' every few months. Apart from that, just split between me and the gf.

My fiance does most of the cleaning while yelling at me for being slow at cleaning. In February I'm gonna start getting a monthly maid. I do all the cooking though.

Me and my wife, our 3 little ones are still to little. They do a bit but that's about it. Oh and with 3 little ones, the cleaning never stops.

I clean up after myself in general but my wife does the real "cleaning" like mopping the floors, dusting, cleaning the toilets, shower, etc (She's a stay at home mom). She always cooks dinner and I'm the one who cleans up. I always take out the garbage and do all the yard work though.
We've done the cleaning service thing for a while when my wife worked but they were breaking things of ours and not telling us about it (Busy Bee Cleaning Service, a franchise, if you've heard of them). Being as expensive as they were, they really should have told us about things like that. I was searching for a couple of bottles of cologne (D&G and Armani, good stuff) and found them as broken bottles in the garbage bags they left in our garbage can outside along with a broken Kate Spade vase (about $450 worth of stuff altogether). Not cool.

Interesting. I just wondered because I gave the house a really good clean today. On the whole, my gwife, when not heavily pregnant, does the week-by-week cleaning as a stay at home mom, and I chip in with washing up, hoovering, tidying etc as well as doing bath-time & bed-time for the daughter, cook meals, loading dishwasher after etc.
The better the system, the less work it is though, as Blaw said more eloquently.

I'm having some trouble cleaning my pipes

All of us.
We have a schedule for who does what.
Leaves the house very clean and leads to less arguments.Would never have someone else clean my stuff.

Me & the roomate of course. It can be really therapeutic to clean things and put them in order.
