That people are just real douchebags sometimes, and that you should never be too nice.

That I have the same ideas as o_O, just 2 hours later.

I learned to not sweat the small stuff. We do something rather cool for a living so just remember that life is good.

I also learned not to take it personally if people are rude when they're trying to help you. Take the help - it's worth it.

It has been a year full of all of things that make life worthwhile and some things that make you question why you do what you do. For me it was the realization of the simple fact that I want to be home; better to be looking for work and near those that I love, then to be gainfully employed and being so damn lonely (of course reading you fuckers makes it less so =). So, here comes 2010, fresh with the experiences of 2009 to guide me and the desire to drive me back to where I belong.
All the best to you and yours - may you be blessed and happy in this coming New Year...

1 - The past is past; suck it up, and move on.
2 - Good friends don't go anywhere, no matter how much time has passed.
3 - It's better to face up to adversity, than pretend everything is ok.
4 - The sun won't necessarily shine where you don't belong.

Technically i learned this in 2009: wear safety goggles, if you're on a rooftop at just the height where the fireworks explode (nobody got hurt though)...

losing a beer belly I have been working on for 20 years isn't going to happen over night.
