Alright, so I am going to be revamping my portfolio from student work to professional work. I have A TON of work acquired from the past year and a half working @ a very fast paced Ad Agency but unfortunately, I have no printed samples from the client/vendors.
I was thinking of creating a book & using a site along the lines of "Blurb" to print it. I am open to and would appreciate any suggestions/ideas. THANK YOU!!

i think a book for print and a site for digital is a great idea.
keep it branded.
throw in some business cards to match,
i'd say you'd be set to jet- i also think blurb has good quality, print on the heaviest paper, it's worth itversion3

are going into publishing and print work? will printing out a book at blurb help you? will spending that money get in to a job? ...maybe
i think you you target your portfolio to fit your target audience. meaning dont have only one book, also if you dont have work from vendors yet, you can create a sample set of what you can do, to showcase to future vendors that you can do a project, or at least it can open a line of conversation that make open more doors for you.
good luck.
- right...if you have a job at a fast-paced agency, do you really need a portfolio now?monospaced

I'm working on the same thing now. Ive been sorta photoshopping the digital flats to look like they were photographed. A bit of blurring and skewing or whatever.
I think a lot of potential employers like the idea of a nice concise booklet with all your folio info inside.

i ordered a book from blurb with my motorcycle/auto pics in it, it's small, fits in the motorcycle, nice to have when i know i'll be around other enthusiasts. it works as an ice breaker instead of a sales pitch. i say that to agree with o_O's post to target who you will interact with.
- Lulu is pretty crappy. i had lots of banding.GridGirl12

I am going to try and include a wide range of varied work I have done. It's kind of impossible to design this book for my target audience since I am not looking for anything specific in my future potential employer....

Okay lemme pose another question/issue. Which site should you use to print your book to get the best bang for your buck while maintaining excellent print quality.....I heard Lulu is kinda crappy.
