I use Bloglines instead of Reader...have forever.

yes. millions. you knobjockey.
there's shitloads of rss / thread aggregators out there, many simple solutions you can create yourself.
there's shitloads of html email solutions, including any hosted domain account you might setup yourself.
there's millions of calendars on and offline, working in concert or not.
the real question is are you able to fucking use any of them and are you a lazy and clueless individual as the questions you've asked have made it look like you just got out of a 15 year coma and google + google accounts was the first website you ever stumbled into.
i'm probably wrong.

i love that people happily take google content + apps for no cost at all and then bitch and moan that it doesn't suit their needs or is some kind of a monopoly.
if you're a tight-fisted prick you get what you pay for and with google you actually get quite a lot for free.
